Herringbone Struts

Application:

Herringbone Struts are used instead of timber noggins, fixed between the joists to minimise timber twisting and lateral movement.

Installation:

  • Attach Each herringbone strut alternately to the top and bottom of each joist.
  • Use all available nail holes.
  • Use 30 x 3.75 square twist nails.

Variations:

Herringbone Struts come in three lengths, to suit joists at 400mm, 450mm, and 600mm centres.

Material:

Manufactured from pre-galvanised mild steel.
