Herringbone Struts are used instead of timber noggins, fixed between the joists to minimise timber twisting and lateral movement.
- Attach Each herringbone strut alternately to the top and bottom of each joist.
- Use all available nail holes.
- Use 30 x 3.75 square twist nails.
Herringbone Struts come in three lengths, to suit joists at 400mm, 450mm, and 600mm centres.
Manufactured from pre-galvanised mild steel.
